Regarding Blue Bowl Huntington Beach
Update: As of October 15, 2020, our Huntington Beach location has safely reopened.
Complete transparency is a core value of ours… as such, we were hopeful that this day wouldn't arrive, but unfortunately here we are.
Despite everyone's best efforts to follow State and Federal guidelines for health and safety, we just found out that one of our team members at our Huntington Beach location tested positive for COVID-19.
First and foremost, our priorities are to ensure the absolute safety of all of our team members and customers.
So that you know, the team member that tested positive for COVID-19 today has not been at the Huntington Beach location since last Friday, October 2. On October 8, we immediately made the decision to temporarily close the HB store.
No additional team members have shown any symptoms, but out of an abundance of caution and also following mandated State and Federal guidelines, we feel it is best to close. Additionally, all team members from this location are getting tested.
We will be hiring a company specialized in COVID-19-related cleaning to do a complete deep cleaning of the HB store. So that you are aware, we will not reopen the store until we have met all the safety guidelines set forth by the CDC.
Please note that our other locations (Orange, Costa Mesa, & Long Beach LBX) will remain open for online ordering only (for pickup).
This is unfortunately the new reality for restaurant and other business operators and we will not be alone. Most importantly, we will continue to monitor this situation with our valued team members and do all we can to ensure their full recovery.
